God bless. Here we start on a journey of life. This is the journey of the concept Connection from Conception. By nature, I am a private person, but in this book, I will bring forth the most deepest part of who I am and what I seek to accomplish. You will go with me through this process… Please know this book is about what I believe and what life has taught me. My greatest teacher has been my spiritual path and life’s lessons. I don’t claim to have statistic’s to back up my point or a doctorate in my field, just true Love, truth, care, reflection and most of all the blessings of God. I am in no way, shape or form, perfect. I am still working on my own areas of improvements (which still are quite a few J).
This is truly a labor of love for me. My desire to work with kids has been there since I was very small, but at a different level. Even when I chose accounting as my major, my heart was in sociology/psychology – relating to kids. My fear was too big at that time – fear of hiring the wrong teacher, or not addressing a child who has been neglected. Even back then, 1 child getting hurt was too much for me to bear and stopped me from pursuing my dreams. After experiencing life, that 1 child still makes all the difference, the only difference, is my perspective. Now, I see the optimistic side, if I can impact one child’s life – that is a wonderful thing. Life is choice.
It is unfair to start this without giving you a little background. My family is my backbone. My parents are the most amazing people (and that is the TRUTH) on any realm. My brother and sister have been an integral part of who I am and my life. Of course, as any normal family, we all had our differences and issues. What family doesn’t. But this book is not about that – it is about what occurred in my life and the “experiences” I incurred to help develop what I know is my life’s purpose – working with children.
My parents are from India and are Hindus by birth, but are more spiritual, as am I. When I was about 9 years old, we were part of a class called Education in Human Values – this was part of the Church/Temple we belonged to. This concept originated with a well known Guru (teacher) in India, by the name of Sai Baba. It is an amazing system and a great foundation for children!! In this course, through the next 7 to 8 years we learned about Love, Peace, Truth, Righteousness, and Non Violence. We learned about all the major religions of the world, Islam, Judaism, Buddhism, Hinduism, Christianity, and Zorastrianism. That the basis of all religions is the same, it is in the moral or ethical code. Unfortunately, in the real society, religions tear us apart, instead of uniting us. After all there is one creator, and all was created through Him/Her. |
